Where did the Google Fields Go in the Merchant Center Editor

I am attempting to edit my products in bulk as I add new ones to my store. The Bulk Editor for YouTube and Google (merchant center) is not displaying the fields for Google Size, Google Gender, Google Age, Google Color - anymore for my products. I am accessing the bulk edit products which used to have this. Does anyone know where it went, why this has suddenly become a challenge, and where to access these fields today?

There seems to be no clear answer.

I recommend you contact Google support via: Shopify App Support - Google Merchant Center Help

But honestly the app is a bit bad. Lot’s issues, all the time.

Hopefully it will work.

Actually, Shopify has moved away from a separate “Google Fields” menu and instead integrated these directly into its own Standard Product Taxonomy. “A major update in how Shopify handles Product Taxonomy in 2026. “

These fields’ attributes for Size, Color, Gender, and Age Group are now mapped to Category Metafields. When you assign a “Product Category” in Shopify (e.g., “Apparel & Accessories > Clothing > Shirts”), Shopify automatically “unlocks” those specific fields. If the category is blank or generic, the fields like “Google Size” or “Google Color” will not appear in your editor.

Here is the Method to access: There is a “New” Bulk Editor Path available within Shopify

Instead of using the “More Actions” menu on the product page, follow this path to see the integrated columns:

  • Go to Products in your Shopify Admin.

  • Select the products you want to edit.

  • Click Bulk Edit.

  • In the bulk editor, click the Columns button at the top right.

  • Look for the “Product Category/Meta field” section. You should now see attributes like Color, Size, Gender, and Age Group listed under the standard Shopify attributes rather than “Google” attributes. Enable them here.

Example of a Shopify Merchant.

It is bad yes - and tedious. I wish they would improve it but oh well
