Where does Shopify store customer input from custom note fields?

Hello all,

I am planning to add a custom note field to my cart page. The customer will be required to input some info into the field inorder to complete their purchase.

My question, where will the info the customer puts into the box be stored in Shopify, the customer section?

It will be saved in the Notes of the order after the customer places the order successfully.
