For a mid 7 figures brand that started on Amazon and now on Shopify, what do you say make the biggest impact on ROI? The Shopify store does on average 5 orders a day at the moment.
- SEO
- Paid Ads
- Social Media Marketing
Is there anything we can leverage from our Amazon sales?
@christinaxjing that’s a pretty broad question and honestly I couldn’t give you a specific answer without knowing your business better.
What I can say is that you’ll likely need to experiment with all three channels (SEO, Paid Ads, Social Media) to see what gains more traction with your specific audience. There’s rarely a single silver bullet channel that works for everyone. It really depends on your industry, product, and customers.
On leveraging your Amazon sales data - absolutely.
If you’re doing more volume on Amazon than the 5 orders per day you’re seeing on Shopify, that’s valuable information. Try to understand what’s making people convert there.
For example, if you changed your product images on Amazon and saw a noticeable improvement, that’s something you can test on your Shopify store too. I know Amazon doesn’t give you a ton of customer data, but you can still connect the dots and apply those learnings.
Look at what’s working in one place and test it in the other.
Hope this helps!

Thanks! And also thank you on sharing that 70% of changes don’t actually move the needle. It helps puts things in perspective when what you try to optimize don’t turn out the way you intended.
Can you rank how you would get started? SEO, Paid Ads, or Social Media first? Would you only start one only after substantially completing a project?
We do about a thousand orders on Amazon a day.
