Where to store the EORI number for the EU?

I read https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/taxes/eu/eu-tax-migrate

It says that after July 1st, 2026, an EORI number needs to be set up. “You should review your EORI setup before July 1, 2026.”

Where in Shopify can I store that number? I have received the number from my tax authorities.

I don’t think there’s a dedicated place to manually enter your EORI number in Shopify at the moment. I’d check Settings → Taxes and Duties first. If you don’t see an EORI field there, it may not be available yet, and Shopify could add it closer to the migration deadline. If you’re still unsure, Shopify Support should be able to confirm where it will be stored.

Hi there!

There’s no dedicated EORI field in Shopify admin, which is why you can’t find one. The EORI is a customs ID - it’s not used at checkout, only on customs paperwork when parcels are sent across borders.

So it lives wherever your shipping labels are made. If you use a carrier account (DHL, UPS, etc.) or a shipping app, you can add it in their settings so it prints on customs declarations automatically. If a fulfilment partner ships for you, you can just share the number with them.
