Which email marketing services work well with Shopify?

Several email marketing platforms integrate very well with Shopify, depending on your store size and goals:

  • Klaviyo – One of the most popular options for Shopify. Strong automation, deep customer data syncing, abandoned cart flows, and advanced segmentation.

  • Shopify Email – Built directly into Shopify. Simple to use, affordable, and good for basic campaigns and product announcements.

  • Mailchimp – Still widely used, though the integration isn’t native. Works fine for newsletters and basic automation.

  • Omnisend – Designed for ecommerce. Offers email + SMS automation, prebuilt workflows, and good Shopify integration.

  • ActiveCampaign – More advanced CRM-style automation and segmentation; better suited for stores needing complex customer journeys.

  • Drip – Ecommerce-focused with strong behavioral tracking and lifecycle campaigns.

In short:
For most Shopify stores, Klaviyo or Omnisend are great for growth and automation, while Shopify Email works well for simpler needs.

Hi ! For me, the best email marketing tool for Shopify is Klaviyo.

With it you can:
– Run email and SMS campaigns
– Build powerful automations (flows)
– Scale as your store grows

That said, it’s quite feature-rich, so there’s a learning curve at the beginning.

For my stores, it worked really well, and I definitely recommend it.

You should also consider Mailerlite which integrates with Shopify for subscribers and also products, allowing you to select products to be added to an email.

I have experience of using this with Shopify and it works well, though you will need to add a flow to unsubscribe a customer in Shopify if they unsubscribe in Mailerlite. This is a common requirement for some third party email apps.

CartSaver works well for Shopify stores that want an easier, more hands-off way to recover abandoned carts. It comes with ready-to-use templates, popups, and personalized video messages, so you don’t have to build everything from scratch.

You can set up quickly, customize a bit, and let it run in the background while still feeling more personal than standard abandoned cart emails.

Hi! In my experience, Klaviyo is the best email marketing tool for Shopify.

It allows you to:
– Run both email and SMS campaigns
– Create powerful automated flows
– Easily scale as your store grows

While it’s packed with features and takes a little time to learn at first, the results are well worth it. It’s worked extremely well for my stores, and I highly recommend it.

Klaviyo certainly does offer an extreme amount of functionality and opportunities for a business, and seems to be the defacto solution for app integration. You should however consider the resources you have available when making a decision and whether you are going to be able to justify the cost with the time actually have to exploit what it can give you. You may find that excellent alternatives like Omnisend can give you what you need at a lower cost and similar functions. They also offer push notifications that can be a very effect mix into your marketing and add to your customer touch points.

Whenever making a software choice don’t just go for what’s the on-trend choice. You should evaluate what you need, what additional opportunities the software can add, and what will be the best fit for your business. In reality the majority of people only use a fraction of the functionality available in most software.

I tried a couple of platforms in last couple of years, but Klaviyo is still the best one so far. Mainly because:

  • All-in-one toolkit: Besides Email and SMS campaigns and automations, it provides a signup form builder, really good customer segmentation, analytics tools, and most recently landing pages for catching new customers, etc.

  • Editors: Flow and campaign editor are the best one I’ve used and they have most amount of functionalities.

  • Deliverability: Klaviyo has a very strong ESP sending reputation which helps email marketing a lot.

  • No need to switch to another platform: People often choose cheaper options at the beginning, but after store growth, migrating a massive list with your flows and historical data is a nightmare. Choosing Klaviyo at the beginning is the best option

  • Customer Service: They have the best customer service who always help and reply fast

  • Shopify Integration: Klaviyo-Shopify integration is basically perfect. It’s extremely easy to setup, and also Klaviyo provides a lot templates for Shopify users

Main issue with Klaviyo is the price, but the ROI usually justifies it. If you have plans about scaling, it’s better to have a tool that grows with you rather than one you’ll outgrow in 6 months/ 1 year.

Hope this helps!
