Hey all my Question is it better use Shopify Payments or my business bank and why
Thanks
Jim
Okay now I think I get it, So i do have a business bank account and I did
set that all up but after I did that I thought I had bypassed Shopify
payments but I guess not. So let me get this right. I went through Shopify
payments and then set up my own banking information to process payments so
I should be all set on that part correct? Is there a way you can see in my
account just to make sure I did things correctly? Also setting up Paypal
it will direct payments through the same portal process correct. Thanks I
think I get that part now.
Hi, @Jim_Hopson .
Welcome to the Shopify Community and thanks for reaching out.
Shopify Payments is only available to stores that have locations in certain countries and regions. If you’re located in one of the supported countries/regions then it will be available for you to use and accept all major payment methods in your store. You aren’t charged third-party transaction fees for orders that are processed through Shopify Payments. When setting up Shopify Payments, you’ll need to include all of your business details and banking information. Once you’ve followed all steps to complete the form to set up Shopify Payments, our banking partners may request additional information in order for verification.
If you’re unsure whether you’ve set up Shopify Payments correctly, or if there’s a red or yellow banner displayed in your Shopify admin, I recommend contacting our team through the Shopify Help Center. This is recommended as we are unable to authenticate your account through the community forums and will need to do so through the help center.

Once you’ve set up PayPal on your store, Shopify will create a PayPal Express Checkout account using the email address you use to sign into your store. In order to use PayPal on your store, you may need to upgrade your personal account to a business account. When a customer selects PayPal Express Checkout as a payment method when checking out, the customer pays through PayPal and you’re paid directly through PayPal. You can find more information in our Getting paid with Shopify Payments resource for additional payment providers and how you get paid.
