Hi, Recently I wanted to expand my market, my website is .BE and I added the domains .FR for France, .NL for the Netherlands, and .COM for the United States. Since then I’ve had a lot of problems with the Google search console, from 400-500 visits per day at the moment I’m down to 50-80, I have problems with redirects, canonical URLs, duplicate pages, and so on.
and since then I’ve had more visits from Germany than from France, which is a good thing but my website is French in the base language, so I decided to search and here while digging through the theme code I noticed this
I have the index.context. code for Germany, for Belgium, but not for the other countries I usually sell to, and I don’t know if I should delete these codes, or add codes for the other countries?
Thank you for your help

DO NOT DELETE FILES YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND
Always backup themes before making changes to files
If the theme is actually working why would you delete files. Regardless of what some external system is doing or behaving.
Read what’s in the index.context.be.json and index.context.allemagne.json file it’s telling you the parent is index.json

Hello Paul and thank you for your reply, I went to check an old version of my theme, and I saw that I didn’t have all this in the codes, and at that time my SEO was excellent.
What does an old file have to do with adding new markets to the business.
Correlation is not causation,
Your trying to pin SEO problems on unrelated theme technical with no provable causal relationship simply because you don’t understand it.
This is an incredibly unhealthy way to approach problems.
If a businesses domain structure is changed with markets and extra domains of course the SEO will change.
If it’s real concern hire an SEO expert to audit what’s happening or to try and minimize damage done by not having a real SEO strategy in place before things were changed.
Research the SEO forums or international forums there are no quick fixes here.
