Why am I being charged $39 instead of $29 for the Basic Plan?

I have been charged with $29 for Basic Plan per month - total price $348 on 30.3.2024

And in the shopify help center :

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a 25% discount for yearly subscriptions if you choose the Basic, Shopify or Advanced plans. If you choose a 3-year Shopify Plus plan, we offer a monthly discount and lower online variable platform fees.

I contacted Shopify Chat Center and check whether if the billing was done right? The shopify rep replied and said YES! I say where is the 25% discount.. the rep replied to say that shopify is charging $39 per month for basic plan. But i said, your official shopify site still says $29 per month for BASIC PLAN!!! Shopify had turn in to a SCAMMM PAGE! BECAREFUL GUYS.. when you’re signing up for shopify.

To be clear, the reduced monthly prices ($29 vs. $39) is related to annual pricing. If you purchase an annual subscription, then you are charged up front, as if your monthly payments were reduced. If you’re speaking to our Support Team already, and have questions about this situation with your billing, I recommend directly any of your questions to the Team directly, so they can help clear up any questions around your billing.
