I tried to import a customer’s CSV, but failed with the following error message.
Since I was following the documentation closely I used the provided template to import customers, which in turn failed with the same error message.
Now, what can I do to actually import any customers?
The information in the documentation seems to be outdated / wrong.
(I tried importing into google sheets and importing again, to no avail)

Hi @seriously42
Thank you for your question.
This problem appears might be due to the file format issues, you need to ensure that you will save the file as CSV UTF-8, not the standard CSV format.
Another way you could try is saving it in Google Sheets and then exporting it to CSV format.
If you find this answer helpful, please mark it as a solution.
Best regards.

As posted above, I already tried this.
Hi @seriously42
Thank you for keeping me in the loop.
Did you save this file as CSV UTF-8? If you did and were unable to get it to work, please retry to use this sample file to import again, use the first row from that and add your data underneath it ( should paste as Text). (Only CSV files that are 1 MB or smaller are accepted)
Alternatively, you can use the Import Store app to import your CSV files.
I hope that this answer would be helpful.
Hi,
thanks für your reply.
As I wrote in the beginning I already tried just uploading the sample file, which also fails.
I tried it again, this time not using the “Store Importer” app (/admin/apps/import-store), which always failed, but using the import functionality in the customer section directly (/admin/customers), this works.
