Why am I getting a payment setup error for a valid SSN on my store?

I keep getting the same error while trying to set up the payment account - This is the message I’m getting:

There are errors with the account:

  • Last 4 digits of your social security number (SSN) is invalid

I’m a US citizen, my ssn is correct and valid and I have another Shopify store and used the ssn and same banking information. So my information is correct and working in the other store just fine.

ssn is entered like this 123445566

my birthday like this. 1950-06-04

I have cleared my cache and rebooted.
I was on chat with the tech support and they could not find the problem. Nothing has helped. Is there someone who can help me with this?

Was told my ssn was incorrect. Which is impossible, I’m also a US citizen .
