Why am I getting an HttpError in my app's backend?

Topic summary

Sudden HttpError in a Shopify app led to inability to change anything on the storefront. The shop’s admin panel became inaccessible, showing an Error 500 (internal server error) in both Safari and Chrome, and the app displayed an error message.

Troubleshooting (different devices and networks) did not resolve the issue. One response suggested it may be an app-related problem and recommended contacting the app’s support team for a proper solution.

Latest update: the HttpError disappeared, but the user was logged out of the app and now cannot log back in.

Images/screenshots are central, showing the Error 500 pages and app error messages.

Status: unresolved and ongoing. Action items include contacting the app’s support and potentially Shopify support to diagnose the 500 errors and login/authentication failure. Key questions remain about the root cause (server-side error vs. app authentication issue) and restoration of admin access.
