Why am I getting charged more than other Shopify customers for pause and why won’t Shopify fix it? I’ve been paying $14 per month for 4 years to be on pause but the rate for that service is $9. I’ve been told I won’t be given a credit (didn’t even ask for a refund) for the amount of the difference to use for upcoming service. The worst part of this process is the inability to speak with someone who has the power or sense of reason to fix it. I’ve just been told no through chat support. How does Shopify keep their customers? I’m going to be forced to move to a different platform. It’s weird.
I can’t speak on why Shopify doesn’t automatically update the monthly price if it has changed since you originally signed up for it. However, if the price is cheaper now, it should be as simple as signing up for the Basic plan, and then switching back to the Paused plan, and then the new price should take effect.
