Why am I getting high traffic but no sales on my ecommerce store?

Hello Everyone,

I’ve been running my Shopify store, PoshPulse (https://poshpulse.shop/), for a while now. Over the past week, I’ve experienced a significant influx of traffic, with over 1000 visitors. Despite this, I haven’t been able to convert these visits into any sales.

I’ve installed Lucky Orange to understand my customers’ behavior and found that most of them simply skim through the pages without spending much time or interacting with the products. This has led me to question the authenticity of these visitors. It almost feels like they could be bots or non-genuine traffic.

I’m reaching out to the community in the hope of gaining some insights into this situation.

  1. Has anyone else experienced this issue before?
  2. Are there any strategies or tools I could use to verify the authenticity of my site’s traffic?
  3. If these visitors are genuine, are there any recommendations on how I can improve my site’s conversion rate?

I have been running ads on Google ads and Tiktok Ads

Hi!

In these cases I usually like to try to fish for some leads, by adding a newsletter popup in exchange for a discount code. Same way all the fashion brands do it.
This way you can start talking to your leads and in general see if they are taking action.

Please check bounce rate of your traffic with country-specific. If you find there is a good bounce(less than 50%) rate for the specific country(s) then run retargeting ads for those countries with some discount coupon , rest traffic at GA check the search queries and bounce rate and try to create in-depth blog post on those search queries with SEO.

There are several reasons of those traffic

  1. May be a bot (Check the IP address and block them)

  2. Traffic is ok but they are not getting value, so check query intent
