Why am I not making any sales on my online store?

Hi @yallahdealstore ,

I’m Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app.

Congratulations on your new store! I’m so impressed that your products are pretty and diverse. The decoration items should be the most thing bought for this season. Based on my experience, the current complexity of the purchasing process may be a significant factor hindering merchants from completing their purchases. I have a few small suggestions that might help improve your sales:

1. Improve your UI/UX of your homepage for better 1st impression

1.1 Announcement bar

The announcement bar will announce the information about shipping and discount or any promotion campaign of a store. You should set more highlighted background color, the text is hard to read right now.

1.2 Banner

The banner at the top of your website is super important because it’s the first thing customers see when they visit. To make it really clear what you’re offering within just 5 seconds, try moving the heading and the “Call to Action” (CTA) button up to the middle of the first screen.

Here is a sample from our free template:

1.3 A sticky header

Sticky header helps customers easily access menu navigation although they scroll down or up on your page. Customers can also quickly reach the Search field to find products with a sticky header. You do not have an anchor button to “Back to the top”, so it makes it very inconvenient for customers to go back to your menu and see other pages, products, etc.

2. Clear and easy “Add to cart and Checkout” process

A clear and prominent CTA button on your homepage is crucial for an online store. This button guides customers to the most important action you want them to take.

You should place more “Add to cart” and “Buy Now” button from the homepage and collection page. I agreed with Dan that it’s very hard to add your product cart now. If I want to add a Christmas tree, I have to go from homepage > collection page > product page. If there are some Product list with ATC on the homepage, the merchant might add them directly, for example:

There is no pop-up cart after I added an item to it. I think you should check if your current theme support for this feature or not. Here is the sample of pop-up cart:

You should create the easiest way for the customers to add to cart, add related/frequent bought items to the cart.

3. Use Christmas and New Year theme for your website

You shouldn’t miss out this chance to give some offers for upcoming holidays such as Christmas and New Year. This is a great opportunity for you to boost your sales. I have some ideas below:

  • Decorate your site by your Christmas items: Your store have many suitable products for this sale season that you can use to show off your products.
  • Create a sale campaign: To live up your store, highlight your product, and upsell. You can choose to hold “BFCM Flash Sales”, “Santa’s Secret Gift”, …
  • Add a countdown timer: To create a sense of urgency and encourage them to make the purchase now rather than later. Here is an example from our free template:

Hope these suggestions help!
