I am getting hugely annoyed with Google… I keep on getting warnings that -
I follow the route and see this -
I have inserted a bar code which is used in all customs declarations etc. -
There is then a whole series of question which have NO relevance to my products like, Age, Gender, Size, Colour, Size system. All questions that would apply to clothing.
Google keeps on telling me it needs an MPN - it has one.
What am I doing wrong.

This is actually a bug with the free app you are using, and has existed for over a year now. You can find a lot of threads with the same exact issue, and Shopify has not fixed it, as of September, the app is now owned by Google, so they might fix it, but usually, fixes take half a year to get resolved.
The only solutions I can recommend if you want to resolve the issue from your perspective, is to add a supplement feed using a spreadsheet and add the data directly this way into Google Merchant Center. https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7439058?hl=en
