I deleted my Shopify store, before hand I wasn’t active at all. I haven’t made any purchases besides a promotional deal they had for a membership in the amount of $1 a month I was charged almost $300 to my bank account not authorized by me and I never purchased anything in this amount through this merchant.

I understand you deactivated your Shopify store and cancelled your subscription. However, you noticed that you were billed $300 and unsure where the charge is stemming from.
To confirm, did you receive an email after you deactivated your store? An email is sent automatically after you’ve deactivated your store to confirm that it’s closed. If you did not receive this email, there is a possibility that your store was not successfully closed.
In regard to the charge, you may have received an email labelled Shopify Billing. You can try locating this email in your inbox by typing in Billing / Shopify Billing using the search bar. When opening the email, it will show you what you were billed for under Charges. Please see the screenshot below for better visibility.
Another possible reason you may be receiving charges after deactivating your store is if you haven’t uninstalled third-party apps, domain renewal charge, transaction fees or shipping fees.
