On 11/14 we connected our store to the Pinterest and Facebook Sales Channels from our Shopify store. At that time we didn’t go to admin account for either Pinterest or Facebook which was a mistake on our part - poor planning. Anyway we looked at our credit card on 11/22 and there are charges for Pinterest Ads. We were traveling at that time with holiday and ultimately didn’t look at it until 11/27 - again our mistake. On 11/27 after some basic research we weren’t comfortable continuing it at the time so ultimately disconnected both the Pinterest and Facebook sales channels in Shopify. The following week on 12/4 we saw additional charges for Pinterest Ads now totaling $465 in all. We had no contact # at Pinterest as many have alluded to so then deleted our Pinterest business account. Clearly stopping the Pinterest connection in Shopify didn’t stop Pinterest from continuing to charge us. On 1/1 we received another bill for $132. For all of these charges we never received any emails with details. We also never initiated any campaigns in Pinterest - it was automatically done when the connection was established.
We have had numerous emails back & forth with Pinterest customer support but have had no resolution yet - we are asking for a partial refund. At this point just to close it out. They can’t locate our account on their system nor details as to the charges.
Question: Is there anywhere on the Shopify side where the Pinterest account or ID would have been recorded?
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
