I have a issue that customer selects an item, adds to cart, reaches ckeckout, but does not finish a purchase.
For example yesterday:
*sessions 1395
-
added to cart 22
-
reached checkout 11
-
converted 1
I understand that avg conversion in ecommerce is ~2%, but I find strange when customer selects product, reaches ckecout & leaves.
For payments I use Paypal & Stripe, and they do not report any rejected card payments on their side.
What could be wrong?

I think you can send an email notification to your customers who abandoned cart or abandoned check out to enhance much more sales.

Perhaps you could place an exit survey that pops up when your visitors are leaving a full cart and ask them what prevented from purchasing in your store? This will give you a clear idea of what you need to improve.
