Why are extra letters appearing in our page titles and how can we correct this?

A lot of our pages are showing up with all these additional letters etc, after them, any idea why and how to fix?

Example:

https://www.bosshair-online.co.uk/products/davines-heart-of-glass-sheer-glaze?_pos=1&_psq=Sheer%20Glaze&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Any idea why this would have happened?

ok, now I see what you mean. You don’t mean the page titles but the parameters in the URL, right?

This string: ?_pos=1&_psq=Sheer Glaze&_ss=e&_v=1.0

This string is referring to the position the product appears in based on the search criteria. This means when you’re searching for a product on the website and then click the product from the search results, then the product url has this kind of string appended.

It’s a common behaviour of search bar usage.
