Why are my desktop and mobile site displays different?

Hi guys,

Ive recently take a job with a company who is already set up on shopify. I do marketing. But as it’s a small role things come up not related to my skill set!!

Im nothing that certain things are different on the desktop site and the mobile and for the life of me can’t figure out why.

  1. i changed the shipping rates. I change it on the announcement bar and it is correct on the desktop. but it still says the old message on the mobile? how could this be?

  2. on the menu on the mobile site it includes the category “bestsellers” which shouldn’t be there. But on the desktop it doesn’t appear as an option. i can’t find how to remove this from the mobile site. there is no “bestsellers” category so i’m confused why it even shows on the mobile site menu page???

Any help would be appreciated as ok an absolute rookie!

Thanks! Nicky - Australia

Hello @Nicky456 ,

The place to start would be to view your page’s source on mobile view of the browser.

If you’d like further assistance, please let me know.

Hi there @Nicky456 !

Thanks for reaching out here in the Shopify Community to share your queries!

If you’ve updated some of your store’s settings but they’re not showing for you on a given device or browser (though they’re showing up okay elsewhere) I’d recommend you try clearing the cache on that browser so you can be sure you’re looking at an up-to-date version of your site.

I’d also like to take a look at the menu behaviour you mentioned, if you’re happy to share a link to your store with us here we can check this out together!
