Why are my high-resolution images appearing blurry on my store page?

Hello there,

Im having trouble with my images that become blurry when loaded into the store page. Im following the resolution rules with high-quality resolution but still. Could you provide guidance?

Thank You

Hi @Helpneeded ,

welcome to Shopify Community.

Please, post the link to your store so that we can check the problem and suggest a solution.

Thank you for the welcoming,

Please this is the link: https://purenatures.ca/

Actually, we are working on a new layout that doesn’t have the link yet.

Thank you!

I found the image you posted on your website in the About Us and it doesn’t look blurry to me on my 4K screen.

In fact that image size is 3300x1075, more than enough for web, even too much.

Can you try to clean the cache of your browser? Which browser and device/resolution are you using?

Thank you for looking at our link! Yes, it is a crazy resolution for a webpage.

The images in general look blurry no matter where we check the page at. We are using desktops with chrome or Explorer browsers.

I just tried to clean the cache as you mentioned and it looks better somehow.

But still blurry for the case of the omega 3 banner on our main page, especially for the text on the banner (image below)

I would like to show you the image on our new theme but there is no link yet.

Ok I see what you mean, but only because I am using a 4K monitor. Please, consider that most of the users will see it on mobile, and if on desktop with resolution of Full HD or even less.

2 problems, 1 is that the resolution of the Omega 3 image is 1650x550 pixels. You can try to upload a higher resolution in this case.

The second problem is the JPG compression and the sub-sampling that tends to blur a little fonts and typography on that solid color.
You can maybe try to add a sort of darker border of 1px to the text to see if the perception of sharpness is better.

Can you please assist with my Dawn theme. My Web Browser Homepage banner is perfectly clear, but the mobile version is extremely blurry. I have tried so many different compression settings, DPI file sizes etc. My website is www.nardosnatural.com

I am having the same exact issue. Please help.
