Hi. Just Beta testing my new site in the UK. Why is it payments for orders are taken straight away and are cleared funds within hours, but no receipts are coming into my designated bank account? Is this Shopify just hanging on to my money for a while or something wrong with my setup?

That’s exciting that you are beta testing your new store! I understand that you have some queries about receiving payments, particularly why the funds haven’t reached your bank account even after receiving payment for the order.
Can you please confirm which payment gateway you are using on your store? As you are based in the UK, it’s likely that you may have opted to use Shopify Payments. With Shopify Payments, there are pay periods involved (the amount of time between the date that a customer’s payment is captured and the date that those funds are sent to your bank account).
This means the transaction is not instantly deposited into your account. The pay periods can differ depending on where you are located. In the UK, the pay period is 3 business days. Once the funds are sent to your bank account, your bank may also have it’s own processing times before the funds are reflected in your account. If you are not using Shopify Payments, and instead using a third-party gateway, then you would need to check in with that gateway for assistance with your account, and to clarify what sort of payout procedure they have.
