I have added a variant to all my products seperetely: Size. But when I go to my website products page, all the variants are shown as ‘unavailable’ (despite being available). How is this possible?
Topic summary
Product variants (Size options) appear as “unavailable” on the storefront despite being in stock in the admin.
- Context: The store owner added a Size variant to all products and sees all variants marked unavailable on the product page.
- Troubleshooting step: A responder requested the product link and asked whether each variant has an available quantity set.
- Evidence provided: The store owner shared the product URL and screenshots showing quantities assigned to variants, indicating inventory exists.
- Current status: No confirmed cause or fix yet; the issue remains unresolved and under review.
Key points and open questions:
- Variants: In Shopify, each variant (e.g., each Size) must have its own inventory quantity and availability per sales channel.
- Attachments are central: Screenshots were provided to demonstrate inventory settings.
- Unanswered: Why the storefront still flags variants as unavailable (e.g., channel availability, theme logic, or other configuration) has not been determined.
Can you send product link to check? Also, did you add available quantity to your variants?
