Why are my products not showing in my online collection?

My collection has suddenly started messing up. It will not show me my products nor will the collection link work via the list on my home page. Please Help!

Hey there, @PrettyGalorre . Thanks so much for reaching out to the Shopify Community today! I’m sorry to hear about this situation you’ve encountered with your collection, but I’m happy to chat with you about things to see if we can get things back to normal!

I’m a strong believer in context being key, so I do have some questions I’d like to ask you, just for some additional info:

  • When did you first notice this was happening?
  • Can you share a link to your store with us so we can see this in real time?
  • What theme are you using in your store?
  • Have you recently adding any apps, or made any customization, to your theme?

In past experience, issues with collections not showing products usually means that products aren’t in the collection, or the collection isn’t ‘available’ for the ‘Online Store’ Sales channel. I’m going to advise on some steps to doublecheck these things here below:

‘Products in Collection’ Test

  • First, login to your store and click/selec ‘Products’ on the left hand menu, or from the menu that appears in your app.
  • Click/select ‘Collections’ and then select the collection you’re having troubles with.
  • Check to see if your products are present there. If they are, then we know the products are in the collection. If they aren’t, test things by adding a product to the collection, and see if things begin appearing.

‘Collection Availability Test’

  • If your products are showing up in the collection, but not appearing on the website, then it’s likely your collection isn’t set to ‘available’. To change this, check the following steps in the screenshot below. The numbers indicate the order in which to click/select things.

Once you select ‘Products’, then select ‘collections’ and then select your issue collection. Find the ‘manage’ text and make sure you turn the ‘Online Store’ channel to ‘Available’. Once this has been done, then check out your website to see if things appear as expected. I recommend trying a different browser for this check, as sometimes cookies data may prevent you from seeing the changes.
