When loading the page, my slideshow images show as a black screen with a white dash in the centre for about a second (no screenshot as too quick to capture but load the page and you’ll see). I’m not sure this was there before, did I possibly mess up the theme settings?
I understand as it’s fading in it should start with black, but it seems to linger too long and is a little jarring…

I was not able to replicate this issue when viewing your online store, are you seeing this on multiple browsers and devices as well? If not, this could simply be a browser issue that a quick browser history, cache and cookies clear could help with. That said, if you are noticing this issue on multiple browsers and devices, I would also recommend checking a fresh Shopify theme to see if the issue is replicated there.
To test this, you can log into your admin and head to Online Store>Themes>Theme Library>Free Themes then choose a free Shopify theme and click customize.
If your homepage image loads fine in your free Shopify theme, this points to a direct issue with your primary theme. You mentioned you are using the Motion theme, this is a third-party theme developed by a team called Archetype themes. If after clearing your browser history/cache and cookies, you are still seeing this issue, I would recommend reaching out to Archetype’s support directly as Shopify did not develop your theme. You can reach out to your theme’s developers directly via their website here, or via our Theme store directly here under “Support and documentation.”
Just a friendly reminder that if you have done any coding changes to your theme, your theme developers may not be able to support this. If that is the case, your next step would be to reach out to a local developer or hiring a Shopify Expert.

I get it on my phone too. I’m not sure if it was always there or not but you’re right, I should pick up with the theme creators to find out if the issue persists…
