At some point today, our collections updated and no longer show the product names under the products. Several of our collections are also no longer updating with the auto-conditions to add or remove products to that collection. Is anyone else having these issues? Is the a result of the outage this morning and our theme not catching up to the changes yet or should I be looking into other solutions?
Hey there, @Callie_K . Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community with your collection situation here. I’m more than happy to take some time to work through this issue with you, and see if we can get things back to normal.
I did some digging through our internal channels to see if there are any additional reports of collection issues. There doesn’t appear to be any issues related to collections and the admin issue that occurred yesteryday (May 31st, 2022). We do have an issue occurring right now where some storefronts are being impacted by a third-party application called ‘Advanced Reorder’, but if you don’t have this app installed in your store, this wouldn’t be something impacting you.
I’d love to take a look at your store to see this issue myself in real-time. Can you provide me with the following information:
- A link to your online store
- Information regarding the theme you’re using, such as the name and where it was downloaded from
- If you have any screenshots regarding how things were looking in the past, I would love to have those. It’s okay if you don’t.
Initial suspicion is that this is could be caused by a coding issue with your theme, a recent style change in your theme, or perhaps a third party application. Once I’ve had the chance to scope things out myself, I should be able to better determine the cause, and then advise on some next steps!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi Imogen,
We believe the collection errors were caused by a loyalty app and widget install. I am currently working with them to make updates.
Hey there, @Callie_K . Sorry my delayed response here! I was out of the office, but I’ve returned!
Thanks for keeping me in the loop with this situation. Third-party applications can get mixed up with some of the coding of your theme, so it’s great that you were able to determine that this was the likely issue, and that you’ve followed up with the developers for a solution.
If you don’t mind, I’d love to know the name of the application. Just because we can then mark a post here as the solution, and let other users that experience these same issues to know to reach out to the developers for assistance.
Additionally, I’d love to be kept in the know about how things go with the developers and if a solution if found. Feel free to follow up with me here, if you choose to!
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for any future replies!
