Hello,
So I have Paypal as an available payment option and I enabled credit cards acceptance from my Paypal settings. So people are allowed to use their credit cards to pay with their CC without having a Paypal account. My problem is that only the Paypal icon is showing on my Shopify store and I would like to add the visa, Master card etc icons to it.
How can I add those other icons?

Thank you for reaching out regarding this. I have looked into this for you and have found that PayPal Express integration with Shopify does not actually support taking credit card details. You can test this for yourself by going through the checkout process in your store. This is why the different card payment options are not showing up on your theme, as they are not available. In order to have Mastercard, Visa, etc show up, you will need to use a payment gateway that accepts them. You can take a look at the payment gateways that are available to you here.

Thank you for your reply but I think you are mistaken? I had tested it before to make sure it works and just tested it once again and it should accept debit/credit card payment without the customer having to have a PP account.

So obviously I didn’t go ahead with the payment but it should be accepting credit card payments and it specifies so in my Paypal Business account settings as you can see here:

I think the reason why the icons are not showing is because everything is still processed through Paypal. So is there a possibility to add the icons manually somehow?

That is rather unusual as when I get to PayPal on my end I am brought to this:
PayPal Express’s integration with Shopify does not allow for the acceptance of credit or debit cards, in general. Can you attempt this again from incognito mode http://bit.ly/37DbxfL? As these transactions do not take place on the Shopify checkout there is no way for our team to add icons to your site from our end. You may be able to implement this with the help of a Shopify Expert.

I see, thank you for your insight! It made me realize that for some reason not everyone could see that option. I have just implemented the PayPal Smart Buttons on my website . May I ask if you see them when you add a product to cart? Thank you
