Why are two domains appearing in my list?

Hi guys, could someone please let me know why I am seeing two domains listed here? Why do I see zionpaper.com and www.zionpaper.com? Which one is correct? Can I delete one?

Hello @stargirl !

What you’re seeing in your Domains section is completely normal - all domains come with a www. version and you should not delete either.

Both are correct, the difference with the www. version is that it is there to identify the address as a website. If you’re interested in learning more, I have a link to a great article from SERanking on it here.

I also wanted to confirm for you that you are only charged for 1 domain here, the www. version is included in it.

While we are here, I would love to hear a little bit more about your business - what kind of products are you selling? I will see if there is any other advice I can offer you!

Hey, @stargirl

Both are the same domain zionpaper.com and www.zionpaper.com both are same. Don’t delete any one of these domains.

Got it. Thank you!!

Hi @Lana_2 thank you so much! I make handmade papers. I switched from Squarespace to Shopify because Shopify provides what I need (vs the latter). I bought a Google Workspace subscription while I was with Squarespace and I believe I’m having issues with it. Shopify says that my domain status is pending (under Sender email), however in my domains page which I showed a picture of in my previous post, both says connected. So I am so confused.

I understand what you mean!

Since you purchased your domain through Shopify, it is likely that it just needs some more time to propagate, hence the pending status under the sender email section.

This is only really an issue if your domain was connected from a third party host, but in this case it looks like you just have to give it some time. However, do let me know if this continues for another while!

Your business sounds very interesting! Is it that you’re making paper totally from scratch yourself? For a product like that, I think it would be great for you to have a Blog/About section, or maybe even an FAQ! This is a great way to let your customers know a bit more about how you make your product, and any other details you want to include there as well that could be interesting. This is also a way to build trust with your customers by showing them the process!
