I’m having trouble getting my payment icons displayed on my storefront footer. I was wondering maybe is it because of the theme…?? Coz I currently use the narrative theme. I tried contacting shopify support and they advised to implement some sort of new code. I decided to bring my problem here and see if anyone had a similar problem before and got resolved. If anyone is using the narrative theme and the payment icons are displaying kindly assist…!!
By the way I’m using third party payment providers.
Hi there @Dominic_Mathew . I’m happy to help you out with this! Which payment providers are you currently using? Do you mind if I ask why you’ve chosen to use Narrative as your theme over an Online Store 2.0 theme?
Using Narrative you can add payment icons to your footer through a setting in your theme editor. To get there go to Online store > Themes > Customize (next to the theme you want to edit). Once you’re in your theme editor click Footer to open the settings for that section. Then you will see the Show payment icons setting which, when enabled, will cause your payment icons to be displayed.
If this is enabled and the payment icons are still not appearing you would need to add this into your footer.liquid theme file. If you aren’t comfortable coding yourself, you can hire a Shopify expert to assist you with this. Shopify experts are trusted, third-party agencies and freelancers who offer services for Shopify merchants. You can hire a Shopify expert on this page and you can learn more about them here.
Thanx for the assist @Erin_1 . Can you send me the sample code that I could implement into my footer.liquid file and see if I can manage to make them display. Or can you clarify more on how to add it into my footer.liquid theme file.
Also on the other hand I’m using DPO Group and Pesapal as my payment providers the reason being the location I’m in which is Tanzania. As Tanzania currently doesn’t support shopify payments.
Secondly, I’ve decided to use the narrative theme because I like it and it displays my storefront so perfectly.
