Why aren't my products displaying in the featured collection?

Hi,

I’m new to Shopify and am following the Dropshipping 101 Shopify Course step by step. I am currently at the stage where I want to set my Featured Product, but when I go to choose the product, none are showing up. Why is this?

Also, how do I choose which items go into my featured collection? My collection is set to Home Page, which has all of my products listed, but again, they do not show up.

Have all your products been set to an Active status?

In order to have a collection placed into the Featured Collection section, you’ll need to create a Collection first. This can be done manually or automatically through tags. However, I will list instructions below for creating a Manual collection -

  1. In your Shopify Admin, head to Products > Collections.

  2. In the top right corner, click Create Collection and fill out all the appropriate fields (Title, description etc).

  3. Under Collection Type select Manual. Be sure to Save.

  4. Once you have saved this collection, head to All Products and select the check box next to all products you would like in the collection.

  5. Click on More Actions > Add to collection(s) and select the collection you created in the earlier steps.

Now that you have created a collection, you will then be able to see this collection as an option when you set up your Featured Collection on your store. Here is also our Shopify Guide on Creating a Collection.

How are you? For the products to be visible in the online store and selectable as featured products, please make sure that it is set a “Active” and available to the online store:

Also, make sure that the product has enough stocks available or set to “Continue selling when out of stock”. I hope this helps.
