Any answers on this? We had a bunch of orders come through to Shopify early this morning but when we went into TikTok we found they were all placed last week. Really frustrating as this will have a significant impact on our fulfillment KPI’s.
Topic summary
Main issue: Orders from TikTok Shop are not syncing to Shopify as usual. Historically, orders appeared in Shopify within seconds; now they are delayed or not importing at all.
Current observations:
- Multiple merchants report missing or intermittently delayed order imports. Some days work; other days do not.
- One merchant saw a batch of Shopify orders arrive late, though they were placed a week earlier, hurting fulfillment KPI (key performance indicators).
- A user notes TikTok may place orders “on hold” for about 1 hour, delaying sync. This tip came via AfterShip Feed support.
- Latest update (Apr 22, 2024): Another merchant confirms ongoing failures and suspects an API (application programming interface) issue. They are fulfilling directly in TikTok to protect metrics.
Guidance and actions:
- Shopify staff advises reviewing TikTok Shop setup via the TikTok Shop Guidebook and contacting the TikTok Shop Team, as the integration is supported by TikTok.
- Check for “on hold” status to see if orders appear after an hour.
Status: Unresolved and ongoing. Key questions about root cause (e.g., API problems) remain unanswered.
