Why aren't products appearing in my shopping cart?

Hi. I am having troubles with my shopping cart. When I add a product/s to my cart the screen says it’s in the cart but when I go to the cart nothing is there. When I click the cart icon and it refreshes I can see all of the product behind the “your cart is empty” page. I am using the pipeline theme. Can anyone help me?

  • Does this issue persist in a private/incognito window?
  • Have your customers reported this problem as well?
  • Have you installed any custom code or apps into the theme?
  • Have you tried installing an unedited version of your theme and testing the cart feature there?

Olivia, after talking with the shopify experts and the theme developer I was able to fix the issue. The DNS was not pointing to the correct address. Once I fixed this with GoDaddy then it worked.

I am having the same, if not, very similar issue at the moment. Do you mind providing any specific information that helped you resolve you issue. We also use GoDaddy as our host.

The “A” server needs to point to 23.227.38.65 and the text box before that should say [email removed] Don’t put it in the same text box as the numbers.

The CNAME server needs to say shops.myshopify.com. The text box before should say www and the time should be 1 hour.

Once I changed this on GoDaddy everything started working again. If it doesn’t then you may need to empty your history and cache. Good luck!

I’m having the same issue when I click on the add-to-cart button the mini card(right sidebar) appears but my add-to-card product is not displayed in it and the same product is shown on the cart page, I’m using the Avon theme. Can anyone help me?

-Note ( I download my store theme and install it in the new store and it’s working fine.)*

I appreciate you reaching out with your question. In your case, you have already determined that the issue is not with the theme itself, rather than customizations you have made to it. This was ruled out by testing the same theme installation on a different store.
