i have set up shipping setting in GENERAL RATES for worldwide locations but customers can only check out from UK- help!

In order to allow shipping worldwide, you should activate International Market in Settings.
From Shopify admin, please navigate to Setting > Markets to see if this market is activated or not? If not, simply click on Manage next to the International Market section then you’ll see the Activate button.

When did shopify introduce maarkets - it seems like another thing to do and the setup guide does not tell you to do this ! so frustrating
