why cannot I access my gmail account it requests an authentication code that wont work I cannot get the message on my phone

Are you trying to sign into your Shopify merchant account using your Gmail email address?
It sounds like you need to complete the 2 Factor Authentication step for your account. If you aren’t able to receive the 2FA code you will need to contact our support through the Help Center for assistance in disabling it.
To access our live support, please follow this link: Shopify Help Center. Next, you will want to follow the on screen prompts, select continue without signing in, choose your topic and issue and at the bottom of the help articles provided will be all available live support options.
