I have tried numerous times to log into shopify store and on the main home (admin) page it is just completely blank
If I click on my orders page or products page I am getting the message there is a problem loading this page (technical problem) but when I click the status page it shows that there are no issues with shopify
Also on the main login page there is someone else’s initials there not mine. I have changed my password. I already had two step authentication set up with my phone. No issues apparent with my back account as far as I can see but I cannot access anything on the shopify account itself
Can anyone please advise?
Edited to add that I can access everything on my phone - but just not on the laptop and when I look at my website as a customer it all looks ok
Are you still unable to access your Shopify Admin? Also, is this the only website that you’re having difficulty loading on Google Chrome at the moment?
Since you are able to access everything on your phone, I’d be curious to know if we can isolate what you’re seeing to your desktop device or browser. Would you mind testing a few things for me?
Clear your cache and cookies - When you use a browser, like Chrome, it saves some information from websites in its cache and cookies. Clearing them fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites.
Thanks for your response Moira
I did try another browser yesterday and it was working fine. So this morning I have just taken your advice and cleared the cache and cookies and Voila! All fine logging in now - thanks so much for your help
Are you referring to your ranking in browsers such as Google? The primary reason switching platforms might affect your SEO ranking is if your URL structure changes. Search engines referenced your previous site’s site map to identify your content. If other sites are linked to you, they’re probably using your old URLs. If these URLs change suddenly, your rank might be affected.
In saying this, with some preparation, you can certainly minimize and prevent any damage! While your old site is still online, we recommend cataloging your site’s URL structure in a spreadsheet. After you’ve moved your content to your new Shopify site, you’ll see which URLs are different and create 301 redirects to help search engines keep track of your content.
