Why can't I access my online store's theme editor on desktop?

Hi Shopify community.

I am having issues getting into my theme editor/customize on desktop.

It is giving an error which states:

I’ve tried removing apps but this didn’t seem to fix the issue.

Also read about geolocation app that causes this problem, but I don’t have that app installed.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Hey @Himesh .

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate the context and screenshot that you have shared with us as that is very helpful! Could you let us know which theme you are using for your online store? Did you also make any custom coding changes to the theme, by any chance?

If you are unsure about which theme is live on your store, you can navigate to the Theme Editor and select the three dots that are appearing towards the top left of the page. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

Looking forward to your response.

Hi @Ollie

Thank you for your help, the theme I am using is Split.

I have only tried to add google analytics or google tag to theme.liquid. But it didn’t work, so I removed it.

Thanks!

Hey @Himesh .

Thanks for the quick response in this matter.

Looking into the Split theme, I did notice that this is a third-party theme that is designed and supported by Krown Themes. With that being said, we are a bit unfamiliar with the style of coding that is used within the theme.

In this case, I would suggest attempting to Duplicate the theme and Roll back to an older version of your theme. Make sure to duplicate the theme so you save a copy of the original just in case if rolling back the theme does not work.

If rolling back the theme does not successfully work for you, I would reach out to the third-party developers of the theme and bring this to their attention. They should have additional support to assist you with the theme. I did come across to finding their Contact Us page and wanted to provide it.

Let me know if you have any questions.
