i have been trying to view my website for a couple of days now and I can’t seem to view it. When someone clicks on the link it says it doesn’t exist and when i try to view it it says the site can’t be reached but i can still customize it. When i first made the website at the beginning of this month, me and other people were able to view it but now we can’t.
Hi, @ale-avila .
Thank you for posting your question here in the Shopify Community!
To get a better grasp of the issue, are you able to log in and fully access your Shopify admin? If so, are there any error messages present within your admin or your Settings > Domains section?
I also ask that you advise on the following so we can troubleshoot further:
- Could you share your store URL so we can try and replicate the issue you’re experiencing?
- Can you share a screenshot of the error message your viewers and yourself are seeing?
- Have you tried viewing your website on different devices or browsers to see the same error message?
Looking forward to your response and ensuring this is resolved for you!
My store URL is www.aymamacita10.com .
Yes, i am able to log in and fully access my shopify admin. I have tried to view my website on my phone and laptop and have not been able to access it. I have sent the link to family members and they said they can’t view it either. I cant seem to attach a screenshot but when i click to view my website though the shopify admin it states,
This site can’t be reachedCheck if there is a typo in aymamacita10.com.
If spelling is correct, try running Connectivity Diagnostics.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.
And when family members click it states,
Sorry, the page you were looking for does not exist or is not available.
Thank you for providing this additional context, @ale-avila .
Based on the error message you and your customers are receiving, it is likely an issue with your domain.
This issue can be resolved by editing your DNS settings to match Shopify’s A Record and CNAME records. Within your third-party domain provider account > DNS settings, you’ll want to
point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65 and point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com. We have a detailed resource on connecting your third-party domain to Shopify manually for more information.
If this is a Shopify managed domain, you’ll need to edit the DNS Settings within your Shopify admin > Settings > Domains section.
In order for our team to take a closer look to review your DNS settings in your admin and ensure your domain is correctly set up, I recommend creating a support request via the Shopify Help Center. This will be the next best step as your account will need to be authenticated for our team to have a look.
To speed up the process, follow the steps below to contact our support team.
How to contact Shopify Support:
- Navigate to the Shopify Help Center and log in to your store
- Select Store settings from the topics displayed
- Select Domains > Connect a third-party domain from the subtopics provided
- Scroll down to Get Support to view our available support options
