Why can't I add an app to the main page?

Hey,

I’m trying to add an app to the main page, but when I select “new section”, there are no apps to choose from. This issues only occurs on the main page - on all other pages I’ve tried, it worked just fine.

The issue isn’t cookies / browser related either.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, @3node_vackam . I’m happy to look into this with you! I just have a few questions to make sure I give you accurate advice going forward.

  • Can you tell me more about the app you’re using and the app block you’re trying to add to the home page of your theme?
  • Which theme are you currently using for your shop?

The app in question is Klaviyo Embedded Form. The thing is, that there are alot of other apps on the store and none of them work on the main page, while they all work on all the other pages.

I’m not trying to add the app into a block. Just as a separate section. I tried adding it into some section though but that didn’t work either.

Af far as the theme goes, it might be going off dawn, but it’s heavily modified to the point where it might as well be irrelevant.

I did look through the schema of the main page though and there didn’t seem to be anything preventing apps from being placed into the template.
