Why can't I add items to my cart?

Items can’t be added to cart. Any idea what is wrong?

This is Lana from Shopify. There could be a few reasons that items are not being added to the cart.

The first thing we should look into here is the theme that you’re using. Are you using a free Shopify Supported theme, or is it a paid third party theme? And also, do you have a lot of third party apps or custom coding done on your theme? If custom content is the culprit, you can confirm that by opening the theme editor on a fresh copy of one of our free themes which you can add by clicking to Explore free themes in the Online store > Themes section of your admin:

Choose any theme from there and then try to add an item to the cart in the theme editor. If it works, then the issue is most likely with your live theme. The next steps will depend on if the theme is supported by us or if it is third party. In the case that it is one of our free themes, you can feel free to contact our support here and we will be able to take a closer look at it for you.
If the theme is third party, you will need to contact the developers of your theme directly to have them look into this.

However, if you find that the item does not add to cart in the fresh copy of the theme either, you might need to take a look and see if the items are stocked and if they are set to stop selling when out of stock. This can be checked by going to Products > Inventory in your Shopify admin, you should see how many are ‘Available’ and if they are set to stop selling:

Here you will need to add stock in order to have the ability to add the products to cart.

I’m using the free Debut theme and I have all products in stock but they are not adding to cart. I changed the theme to a copy I made a while ago and it worked fine changed back to my current version and it’s the same issue Any idea how I can figure out which code or app is causing this problem. It’s not selective with some products adding to cart fine and some still not working.
