Why can't I add my card to my transferred prebuild store?

I got my prebuild store ownership transferred to me again and NOW it is NOT ALOWING ME TO ADD MY CARD!!! I am really getting tired of this! Shopify sucks so far. and im really not trusting it for my business.

Why not? What does it say when you try? Have you asked your bank if they allow recurring payments in your account?

yes. it keeps saying rejected I use two different cards they both keep getting rejected. and I 1st time I tried this a week ago it took the card but then gave me a error for the website, error message said it was down, it something going on with shopify website? ??? because its like NO CAN HELP! I been trying to open my website for 3 WEEKS NOW!

The banks don’t provide detailed error messages because that could violate their privacy policy. All you’ll see is an “error” or “rejection” when in fact you could have insufficient funds, or you’ve triggered a fraud alert for doing an unusual purchase (which paying for a ecommerce site could be compared to your normal spending) or not having recurring payments be allowed. If the bank doesn’t provide a specific error to Shopify then Shopify can’t provide one to you.

You could ask Support to help explain the error messages but in my experience they’re nearly all security measures by the bank to prevent recurring or unusual payments. Tell your bank you’re having trouble paying for something and let them explain why.

its not my card of bank.

my card just won’t add to the account. some one please actually help me . is the website having issues. is it my prebuilt business? what is it? can it be the previous owner> can it be that I just came off a trial? I have money is my account. its only $29 and it won’t even accept the cards. why?

Nobody can investigate your bank cards for you except you :slightly_smiling_face:

how about it s not my card…its this lame ass company website. and the fact that again NO ONE IS HERE TO HELP. EVERYONE JUST TALKING

Hello, @satynhairnyc . I can absolutely understand that you are feeling tired of this, so let’s try to get this resolved as quickly as possible for you. You mentioned the store is “pre-built” - did you purchase this store from someone? Is it possible they are still assigned as the Account Owner on the store?

It is hard to tell if this issue lies with your bank or with your Shopify account. As a first step, it would be best to reach out to live support so they can investigate what is going on here. Live support will be able to access the back end of your store and hopefully be able to diagnose the issue. Our live support can be reached via our support portal here. Simply select the relevant topics until the live support options appear, you will then be connected to a live support agent.

If they cannot resolve the issue, it may then be time to reach out to your bank for their advice on best next steps. Thank you!
