I’d be more than happy to add you to this feature request. While we aren’t able to share a timeline for feature requests, we will announce any new features or upcoming changes on the Shopify Changelog.
That being said, if you need a workaround for editing orders containing local pickup or delivery, then I’d recommend taking a look at Zapiet - Pickup and Delivery for the time being. Should you need help with a third-party app, then the developer is always available to assist you - simply get in touch with them using the contact information found on the bottom of their app’s page.
