I know you implemented the ability to merge identical customers. But I’ve tried it every way, and it doesn’t appear in the More Actions menu, nor in the Customers page (by selecting multiple customers). I tried to force it by making the emails identical, and when I did, it prompted me, asking if I want to merge the profiles. HOWEVER, I got a dead link when I opened it. These profiles don’t fall outside the limitations that the Help site lists.
I’m having that same issue. Did you ever find a solution?
apparently you need to be the store owner to see the merge customers option.
Shopify has certain restrictions on which customer profiles can be merged.
You can’t merge accounts if:
- Either profile has or ever had a subscription contract.
- Either profile is linked to a company as a B2B buyer, or has past B2B orders.
- Either profile has a saved payment method (vaulted credit card).
- Either profile has an active store credit balance.
- Either profile uses Multipass login.
- Either profile has been deleted or redacted.
- A customer profile merge or another customer data request is in progress.
[The “Merge Customers” option is only available to the store owner. If you’re not the owner, you won’t have access to this functionality.]
