I just started having a problem where I cannot print shipping labels. After I purchase the label, I click the Print Label button and a new tab starts to open up but then immediatly closes. This happens again and again if I click the button again but I can never print the label. If I log out of my shopify account and then log back in, it then works one time so I can print one label but the next label I try to print the problem comes back. I have tried clearing my cookies and cache but this does not fix the problem. I also tried switching browsers from Chrome to Firefox but the problem happens there too. What can I do to fix this?

Yesterday, around the time of your posting, Shopify had identified an ongoing issue when trying to print off Shipping Labels via Google Chrome. This was affecting many merchants and the behaviours are just as you described - you click the button to print and a new tab loads but then instantly closes itself out. Other folks tried clearing their cache and cookies and this didn’t resolve things. I’m happy to reporting that as of later in the day yesterday, this incident was going into recovery and many folks are no longer experiencing this issue. If possible, can you please try printing the labels off again through Chrome and letting me know what occurs?
There is a chance that your issue may not be related to this incident so please give a try in Chrome again and let me know what happens. Trying in an incognito window should be attempted, as well. Further than that, trying to print from a different device is worth trying, too.
If you find that you’re still encountering this error, please let me know. It’s been asked by our developers to try to collect video of this error in realtime, so if there is a way for you to record this issue if it’s still happening, that would be fantastic.
