Hi,

I’m new to Shopify (I started 4 days ago using the 14 day trial). I’ve just paid for a premium theme however when i click the ‘‘Actions’’ button to publish it, there’s no publish option and ‘‘buy’’ is still listed. The theme even still says ‘‘theme trail’’

What am i doing wrong?

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. In the Theme library section, find the theme that you want to publish and then click Actions > Publish.
  3. In the Publish… window, click Publish.

After you publish a new theme, your previous theme appears in the Theme library section on the Themes page.

Hi Thanks for the response..

My problem is I have a theme i’ve paid for in the ‘‘theme library’’ section that still says ‘‘trial theme’’

So when i click ‘‘actions’’ my only options are:

Preview

Buy

Remove

There is no ‘‘publish’’ option like the other free fonts..i’m just wondering why since i’ve just paid for it?

(I’ve attached an image)

(I’ve selected my shopify selling plan but i’ve got a few days untill the free trial officially runs out, could this be why?)

Sorry to hear you’re having issues buying a theme you’d like to publish. What browser are you using? Make sure you’re using one of our supported browsers. From there, can you try logging in and purchasing the theme through an incognito or private browsing window?

From your Online Store > Themes section, next to the theme you’d like to publish / buy, when you click Actions > Buy it should direct you to a theme Approve charge page.

I think you should buy a Shopify plan also to Publish that theme

Thanks for the response. I’m using Chrome and i’ve paid for the theme (ive been charged) and I’ve got the pdf receipt (and email confirmation). I’ve purchased a plan too but i wont be billed until my free trial has ended so i guess its not official until then.

I’m just wondering if that’s why i’m having this problem? Can anyone confirm this?

If anyone has this this problem you just have to buy the theme again (you won’t be charge a 2nd time) and it’ll work.
