Why can't I publish my theme due to a missing layout/theme.liquid file?

Hi,

I have designed my Shopify store by using third-party software (page builder). Now, I was completed my design, but I can’t publish the theme.

The following error appeared: Missing required file layout/theme.liquid

Could anyone give me an idea of what to do?

Are you doing this on a duplicate theme? The theme may have failed to duplicate

Hi there,
I have the same issue. I am not sure if my theme is a duplicate. If it is, how do I fix this please? If you know, I would be really grateful for your help.
