Why can't I see third party font changes on different devices?

Hello,

I’m new to Shopify. I setup a store using the free Dawn template. I wanted to incorparate a 3rd party font into my store. I followed a few Youtube videos and thought I successfully accomplished my goal. However, I can only see the font change on my home computer, where I made the change. If I sign in anywhere else, I cannot see the font changes. It’s very strange. Not sure if anyone can help with this issue?

Thanks in Advance

Damian

Hey @dvoulo ,

It’s possible that the issue you’re experiencing has to do with browser caching. When you visit a website, your browser may save certain elements (such as images or fonts) in its cache so that it can load the website more quickly the next time you visit.

If you’re only able to see the font change on the computer where you made the change, it’s possible that the new font isn’t being loaded on other computers because they’re still using the old version of the font that’s saved in their browser cache. To fix this, you can try clearing your browser’s cache and refreshing the page. This should force the browser to download the new version of the font.

If that doesn’t work, you can try checking your Shopify theme settings to make sure that the font is set up correctly. Double-check the font name, weight, and style, and make sure that you’ve saved your changes.

If you’re still having trouble, you may want to reach out to our support team for assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue and make sure that your font is displaying correctly for all visitors to your store.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I reached out for support but they told me it’s
out of their normal scope and to consider hiring an expert. I believe I
coded it correctly or I wouldn’t be able to see it at all.
Asking the world to clear their cache would be hard lol. however I will try
it on another device to see if I can get it to come through.
Best

@dvoulo Let me know how you get on! Otherwise we may need to troubleshoot further.
