Why can't I update the product type of sold items?

Hello community,

I am trying to update Standard Product type, for products I have already sold.

But when I edit the product it is not saving and I have tried everything.

How can I update an existing products, product Type?

I am having the same issue. It keeps reverting back to the suggested type and it doesn’t stick.

I worked it out. You have to add a custom product type now. Must be a
recent update
