Hi, I’ve purchased a new domain from 123-Reg and am trying to point it to my Shopify account, but it keeps failing the verification. Shopify tells me that the wwwCNAME and @A records are empty, but I’ve submitted the correct info a few times - despite waiting 24 hours, logging out and back into to the domain host site and seeing everything looks correct there, Shopify still disagrees. Any advice?? I’ve used 123 to link an old domain before and that worked fine, so I can’t see what’s wrong here. Thanks!
You can use a free tool called MXtoolbox to see if the DNS records are appearing publicly. If not, then you will need to contact 123 for further support as they will be able to troubleshoot why the records aren’t appearing. If they are appearing, you should be able to connect the domain after trying to verify the domain three times in a row. Once you have tried to verify the domain three times, a manual verification should appear.
