Hello fellow Shopify users!

Is anyone else struggling with manually updating unit prices for each product individually? As the owner of a webshop selling floor tiles and building materials, this is a huge waste of time for me!

Currently, I have to for each product separately:

  • Navigate to the product
  • Select “Show unit price for this product”
  • Fill in the values
  • Save
  • And repeat… for EACH product :weary_face:

I have the same problem with editing image names. When adding new products or updating existing images, I have to change each image name manually. With hundreds of products in my catalog, this is simply unworkable.

Why can’t we just do these things in bulk? The regular Bulk Editor works fine for regular prices, but unit prices and image names aren’t included. This seems like a missed opportunity, especially since so many stores work with measurement-based products.

What I’d like to see:1. Make unit prices available in the Bulk Editor

  1. Add functionality for bulk editing of image names
  2. Include the ability to apply changes in percentages or fixed amounts

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Or has someone perhaps found an efficient workaround that I’m overlooking?

I’ve already looked at apps like Matrixify, but they don’t really solve the unit price problem.

If more people are experiencing this as an issue, can we collectively ask Shopify to add this to their roadmap? Seems like a relatively small feature that would make a big difference for many merchants!

Regarding your request you will have to edit it manually but if they are dropshipping product you can really edit them in bulk but firstly try and select multiple products and see the options for it

I agree that not being able to edit the unit prices is really annoying. It’s not even a writable field in the API, you can read a product’s unit price with GraphQL but there’s no way to set it (that I’ve found).

My guess is the reason unit prices aren’t easier to edit is that they’re only available for some merchants (mainly EU-based) so it doesn’t rank as high on their list of priorities :confused:
