We can search orders by name, address, item, etc - but searching for a business names has zero results. When you’re selling B2B, it’s so frustrating to look for a client’s order. There’s a line item for it in their address, so there’s really no reason why it won’t show up in the results 
You can have a look at the spreadsheet app Mixtable - they added b2b data recently, and under the Orders template, I can see Company ID and other b2b details. The orders data can be exported in CSV or XLSX format, or if you work from the online spreadsheet, the data from Shopify will keep updating in real time.

Shopify’s order search doesn’t index the company/business name field, even though it appears in the customer’s address. Search only looks at customer name, email, phone, street address, order number, and line-item data. Since the company field isn’t part of the indexed data, it returns no results.
This is a known limitation for B2B merchants, and the only current workarounds are using filters/tags, a customer naming convention, or a reporting/app solution that supports company-name search. Hopefully Shopify expands the search index to include this field in the future.

If you’re using Shopify Plus with the B2B (Companies) feature, there are actually two ways to view orders by business/company:
1. From the Company Profile (Quick)
Go to:
Customers → Companies → Open the Company
Inside the company details page, Shopify shows all orders created by that company directly.
So you don’t need to go to the Orders index page and manually filter.
2. Direct URL Filter (Advanced Way)
You can also filter orders by adding the purchasing company ID directly in the Orders URL.
Example:
https://admin.shopify.com/store/your-store/orders?purchasing_company_id=4333732016
When you add the purchasing_company_id parameter, Shopify will automatically filter orders for that specific company.
You can find the company id from the company details page URL as well.

Hi @jonathan_33 Just use shopify-flow(free app made by shopify) to auto tag orders with the name of the business.
e.g. “bizname-12345widgets”
Keep in mind 40 character limit for order tags, or any normalization of special characters.
For a handful of cases just use saved-searches.
Or also use to do order metafields filtering (remember to enable the capability in the metafield definition)
Always keep in mind though the default way you limiting yourself by taking the bare minimum a SASS platform offers for the least common denominator instead of building your own dashboards,apps or even just using spreadsheets.

Quick question - are you trying to search for business names in Shopify Admin, or Shopify POS?
Admin. I’m just searching for an order like I would numerous times a day, but if I don’t recall the buyer’s name, it would make sense to be able to search for the business name, since that field is in the same record…
